If you asked me a couple of years ago, I'd never ever thought that one day I'd really be considering the Müggelberg for elevation training. And it is certainly not the best preparation for alp passes, but it is what I have around the corner. And sometime the best training is what you can do regularly without too much effort. 0.5 new kilometers -- From Wandrer.earth

Had to switch devices in Prenzlau since my power bank has gone empty, and the cycle2charge does not work any more. Anyways: good to have enough energy left on some device for routing - although I know part of the route from my 500km adventure two weeks before. This time different route from Eberswalde though - the straight way to Köpenick without detour via Strausberg. 👍 31.11 new kilometers -- From Wandrer.earth

Unbelievably windy - ultra-strong headwinds on Usedom - changed to strong side wind from Anklam (adapted the route from Anklam to a more south-east direction to avoid the headwind). Never been riding a highway with such strong side wind - challenging but doable. Happy parts when the wind changed to tailwind ;) 8.35 new kilometers -- From Wandrer.earth

Heading north again to support my son's class on the last stage of their cycling school trip. This time on a new route more east - always wanted to go through Ueckermünde. Whether dry until Prenzlau - then continuous rain until Ueckermünde - good test for my rain setup... Long lunch break then waiting for the rain to stop. Catched up with the class right before Anklam and already joined them for the rest of their ride. 🎷🐛 206.95 new kilometers -- From Wandrer.earth

Would I be able to go more than 500km in one day? Bit crazy, but why not try... Started very early - still dark outside at the start, but light was spreading quickly, and I could see the sun rise after Seefeld. Breakfast at Templin. Lunch in Peenemünde - not without a jump into the Baltic Sea first. Then going south - did not get the ferry in Karnin as planned - 40km detour via Anklam instead. Therefor dropped the idea of cycling back via Ueckermünde - shortest path now! Luckily found an open gas station right before 10 pm - last possibility to get some food and drink after 400km. Though the last kilometers were challenging (and slow), I'm very happy to have tried this out... 🎷🐛 487.26 new kilometers 🏘 Completed 25% of Damerow -- From Wandrer.earth
